Stem cells

 

 

The company organises and manages the freezing of stem cells from umbilical cords of newborn children, for later use in case of the child's illness, in collaboration with large cell banks in Germany.

 

Stem cells are immature blood cells found in bone marrow and blood. Even though they have the same origin as other cells, stem cells can mature into any of the blood cell types (see information below). A stem cell transplant can often help people with certain types of cancer either to treat or even cure the cancer.
